Off to Boracay
Year 2007 is a busy year for me, I’m pretty much occupied with my current job right now, and really don’t have time to post here. I didn’t even have a single post for January :).
We’re going to Boracay this Feb. 10-13 for a family vacation. My brother is here in Manila for a 2 week vacation, just in time for our Boracay trip. We’ll be staying in La Carmela resort located in station 2. The last time we went to boracay, we only stayed in station 3, so i told myself, the next time i’ll go back to Boracay, it should be in station 1 or 2 and must be a beachfront resort. After checking the rates of different resorts, La Carmela is the best deal :). I’m really excited for this trip as it’s the first time Janssen will be going to Boracay. I’m sure it will be another memorable trip for all of us.
And this is just the beginning for our 2007 Amazing Race!
Year 2006 Rewind
Year 2006 has been good to me and my family. As 2007 is fast approaching, it’s time to recall what happened this year:
1. Full of travel adventures. My family went to the beautiful Bohol, ugly Cebu (sorry Cebuanos), amazing Davao, magical Hong Kong, and my future home, Singapore. I also went to Nanjing, China for the SES conference. It’s been a wonderful experience for me and my family. More travel adventures by 2007!
2. Attending birthday parties. I couldn’t recall how many birthday parties did we attended this year. I think it’s more than 10 parties.
3. I resigned to my previous employer, went on a “sarap-buhay” mode, then found a new employer.
4. Better financial standing, big thanks to G, TLA, and AM!
5. Reunion with my college barkadas after 8 years. It’s good to know that everyone from our BIOS group has a successful career and life. See you again in our next reunion!
6. Janssen is now a kid! We just celebrated his birthday last Dec 17 as our token of gratitude for this wonderful year. Janssen is getting bigger and smarter, i think he’s much smarter than me. Janssen is our lucky charm!
Looking forward to a much better 2007!
Singapore and Malaysia: Here We Come!
We’re all set for our trip in Singapore and Malaysia. My mom and dad will leave on Oct 23, while my family will leave on Oct 25. We’ll be staying on the hotel of my brother Jayson, in Singapore. We haven’t made any arrangements yet for our Malaysia trip, but my wife will take of it. The last time I visited Singapore and Malaysia was in 2004. I pretty much enjoyed our first visit in Singapore and Malaysia, so I’m expecting an even better experience. I always wanted to go back to Singapore, in fact, i want to live there :D.
We’ll be back on Nov. 30.
Hong Kong Trip
Been busy this past few weeks, and wasn’t able to post about our Hong Kong Trip. I could simply describe our Hong Kong trip in one word: AMAZING!!! My family really had a great time in Hong Kong. Our Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park tour were awesome! Just visit my gallery!
Pit Stop: Hong Kong
Next week, we’ll be travelling to Hong Kong for a 4 day/3 night vacation on Oct 6-9, 2006. I’ll be with my family, including my mom, dad and brother. My brother will be coming from Shanghai. Our flight is already confirmed, and our hotel is already booked. Part of our package includes 1-day pass in Disneyland, so i’m pretty much excited for Janssen coz he’s finally meeting Mickey Mouse and the rest of Disney characters. We also plan to visit Ocean Park and other tourist destinations in Hong Kong. Big thanks to G, my sponsor for the trip.
Hong Kong is just our 1st Pit Stop (ala Amazing Race). Next Pit Stop will be Singapore-Malaysia ![]()
Davao: Tourist Paradise
I have to admit, i’m always hesitant to go to Davao, mainly because it’s in Mindanao, wherein there are Abu Sayyafs, NPAs, MILFs, and MNLFs are almost synonymous to Mindanao. As we all know, Mindanao is like a “killing field” of the Philippines. I have never-ever imagined that i will visit any place in Mindanao.
Getting ready for China!
On March 16-19, i’ll be attending SES Conference to be held in Nanjing, China. This will be my first time to travel in China. I’ve been to different Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, and i’ve had good experiences with those countries. Hopefully, this China trip will also be a good one. (more…)
China Trivia
My brother, Jayson, is having his 3-week vacation here in Manila, after working for 6+ months in Shanghai, China. After some chit-chat with my ‘bro, i was shocked when i found out the ff: (more…)
