Google, We Have A Problem!
Since the Big Daddy update by Google accross all datacenters, there were numerous problems encountered by webmasters, including me!
From supplemental results, and more importantly, pages dropping from index. A nice post by Matt Cutts explaining the possible causes of such problems, but since he’s a google guy, it’s expected that he defends his company.
Before the big daddy update, all my posts where indexed. After big daddy, checking the pages indexed by Google on my blog, it only has 2 indexed pages. The first one is the home page (yes!), and the other one is my SES China post. I think the reason is because of inbound links (IBL) i got from the 2 pages. What confuses me is that, why would google drop my other posts/pages? Is it because the other pages don’t have sufficient IBL? I really don’t get the reason why was it dropped from its index. The big daddy update should never drop any “legit” page from its index, PERIOD!
